Adrienne D. Carrera Henze, MS, DrPH Student

Adrienne Henze is a public health leader specializing in behavioral health, substance use prevention, and treatment. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Adrienne serves in a leadership role at University Health, where she oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of grant-funded initiatives that expand access to medications for opioid use disorder, overdose prevention, and integrated care coordination services. Her work spans clinical and community settings, focusing on strengthening systems of care, building sustainable public health infrastructure, and advancing equitable, community-driven solutions to the overdose crisis. Adrienne is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health at Tulane University, where her research focuses on improving access to treatment and prevention services and enhancing community-based responses to substance use through policy, systems, and community engagement strategies.
