Julia Strange is vice president of external affairs and brand at TMC Health, a nonprofit health system serving Southern Arizona. She leads systemwide strategy for communications, advocacy and community engagement, with a focus on advancing access, strengthening the regional safety net and elevating the patient and community experience.

Strange brings more than 25 years of experience in community development and executive communications, including service as CEO of a rural critical access hospital. Her work is grounded in building partnerships across hospitals, federally qualified health centers and community organizations to improve health outcomes in urban, rural and border communities.

She is actively involved in statewide and federal advocacy, working with policymakers and industry partners to address the needs of underserved populations and support sustainable healthcare delivery. Strange is also engaged in innovative approaches to care access, workforce development and the integration of technology to better serve patients across the region.
