Brian Kovach, MS
Brian Kovach is a strategic healthcare executive and innovation leader advancing transformation within complex health systems. He operates at the intersection of clinical care, business strategy, and emerging technology, with a track record of aligning mission-driven care delivery with sustainable growth.
As Vice President of Enterprise Innovations, Ventures, and Partnerships at MetroHealth, he leads system expansion initiatives, commercialization, and related entity development—translating novel ideas into scalable solutions that drive revenue and improve patient outcomes. His work spans the innovation lifecycle, from concept development to enterprise implementation.
Brian has led operationalizing precision immunotherapy programs—including the first Vector & CAR-T manufacturing facility at a safety-net health system. He has also led new formation of new ventures, and advanced health system transformation through large-scale strategic collaborations bridging research, technology, and real-world care delivery. Central to his work is a commitment ensuring innovation expands access, reduces disparities, and strengthens care for underserved populations.
Nabil Chehade, MD, MS
Nabil Chehade, MD, MSBS, serves as the SrEVP & Chief Clinical Transformation, Innovation & Strategy Officer and Advisor to the CEO at The MetroHealth System. Dr. Chehade is responsible for overseeing all payor relationships, care management, IS/informatics, digital health & AI, senior care practices, Pharmacy, Innovation, and Strategy, encompassing all MetroHealth-related businesses. He also serves as Chairman of the MetroHealth Collaborative Care Partner Governing Board, a top-performing REACH ACOs, and Chairman of the board for Ovatient, a virtual-first health delivery company that puts a person at the center of how they receive care and improve their health.
Dr. Chehade is a practicing urologist with over 25 years of experience in executive leadership. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School.
Prior to joining MetroHealth in 2016, Dr. Chehade was the Chief Executive Officer and Market President at HealthSpan and the Ohio Permanente Medical Group, roles he held since 2013.
